As a prelude to an investigation of the effects of the
temperature and lengths of holds on a
variety of glazes, I did a baseline
firing. A firing with no holds or slow ramps. This firing is a pure "up,
down" firing.
"up down" firing, followed by an image of the glaze
in a firing with holds in the downfire.
The comparison version is either a
pointer to a previous note, or an image.
