     My modified version is called alkMatte and has the following glaze recipe.

   • Comments: In my experience Bailey's GA 23 runs off vertical surfaces at cone 6. My alkMatte modification has a similar surface texture but is stiffer. I fire to a hard cone 6 (fired to 2200 F with the last several hours at 108 F / hour -- cone 7 is horizontal but not touching down), with a slow cool down (cooling 150 F / hour to 1500 deg F).
